The application

What the equipment is for.

GaDose is the gas–liquid branch of the DoseCore family. The device concept provides a compact mechanical platform for developing an agreed gas and liquid process. Its fluid circuit, measurement, connections and controls must be selected for the actual media and operating conditions. Beverage and other process applications can be discussed as separate configurations.

Applications to discuss

  • Laboratory gas–liquid experiments
  • Custom process-development circuits
  • Application-specific mixing and dosing
Developed around the requirement

Configure the working process.

01

Process definition

Establish the gas, liquid, process objective and operating conditions before selecting the circuit.

02

Mechanical integration

Develop the enclosure, vessel access, connections and component arrangement.

03

Application-specific modules

Define measurement, control and verification requirements for the chosen configuration.

Materials, dimensions, operating range, output, controls and delivery scope are confirmed in the project proposal.

Application & engineering guide

Planning a laboratory gas–liquid device

Use these notes to define the application before choosing the final equipment configuration.

Working principle

GaDose is an upright enclosed DoseCore architecture for laboratory gas–liquid work and custom process development. Gas supply, liquid handling and the interaction between them form one process definition. Flow measurement and a regulating valve can provide controlled media delivery, but the required instruments and circuit depend on the particular experiment.

Configuration decisions

Start with the gas identity, liquid composition and intended outcome. A blending task, a gas introduction experiment and a regulated liquid feed may need different vessels, connections and controls. State the operating pressure and temperature, ventilation requirements and where the output will be collected. A manufacturer’s flow-controller range is not a rating for a QDM device.

Planning the first build

The first development stage should establish a circuit description and measurable acceptance objective. Agree which measurements are recorded, how media are isolated and how the apparatus is cleaned or depressurised. Customer-selected instrumentation can be assessed for technical suitability. Beverage research may be discussed as a specific application, rather than assumed to be the purpose of every GaDose order.

For supplied QDM equipment

Warranty & ongoing support.

Machine warranty

One year from commissioning.

QDM supplies equipment with a standard one-year machine warranty, starting from commissioning.

Component warranty

Manufacturer’s terms.

Purchased components are covered under the relevant manufacturer’s warranty terms. Two-year component coverage applies where provided by the manufacturer; coverage and start dates follow those terms.

Extended cover & maintenance

Plan the support you need.

Extended warranty and maintenance agreements can be arranged for the project. Coverage, duration, service responsibilities and commercial terms are agreed in the contract.

The quotation and contract define the equipment covered, the applicable warranty terms and the agreed service arrangements.
