The viscous-product study combines a feed hopper, dosing heads and container transport. It is intended for developing a filling process around products such as syrups, concentrates or other thicker liquids. Product behaviour, temperature, particle content and cleaning needs determine the final delivery mechanism.
Review viscosity, temperature sensitivity, particles and cleaning requirements.
Develop hopper, delivery path and nozzle geometry for the actual material.
Scope presentation, indexing, changeover and the operating cycle.
Materials, dimensions, operating range, output, controls and delivery scope are confirmed in the project proposal.
Use these notes to define the application before choosing the final equipment configuration.
A viscous product dosing machine should be developed from the actual formulation and operating condition. Industry filling arrangements for thicker products may use weight-based or positive-displacement methods. The choice depends on how the material flows and how the required quantity will be checked; a visually similar machine does not establish fluid compatibility.
Provide viscosity information at the intended temperature, along with solids, abrasiveness and any tendency to trap air. Product supply, hose dimensions and the outlet influence the delivery arrangement. A trailing product string, an inconsistent inlet feed or trapped air may affect the endpoint. Heating and agitation are additional scope items, not automatic features of this reference machine.
A practical trial should use a representative product rather than a convenient substitute alone. Agree the dose target, allowable variation, end condition and cleaning procedure before final component selection. Review how the operator replenishes the product and changes containers. QDM can develop a dosing station around those requirements and state the verified operating envelope in the final project specification.
The table identifies the reference arrangement and the values to agree for your application.
| Parameter | Configuration / value | Confirm before manufacture |
|---|---|---|
| Product properties | Application-specific formulation | Provide viscosity, solids and temperature |
| Dose target | Defined in g or mL | Agree tolerance and verification |
| Delivery principle | Selected during technical review | Assess weight or displacement approach |
| Product supply | Scoped vessel or feed interface | Review replenishment and trapped air |
| Outlet and shutoff | Product-specific | Define drip or string acceptance |
| Cleaning | Agreed procedure and access | Confirm wetted materials and residue |
| Optional conditioning | Heating or mixing only where scoped | State temperature-control needs |
These products are customizable. Configuration values and images are indicative and may change with the application. Final dimensions, components, controls and performance requirements are confirmed in the agreed project specification.

QDM supplies equipment with a standard one-year machine warranty, starting from commissioning.
Purchased components are covered under the relevant manufacturer’s warranty terms. Two-year component coverage applies where provided by the manufacturer; coverage and start dates follow those terms.
Extended warranty and maintenance agreements can be arranged for the project. Coverage, duration, service responsibilities and commercial terms are agreed in the contract.
The quotation and contract define the equipment covered, the applicable warranty terms and the agreed service arrangements.
Include a product sample or specification, working temperature, container, target dose and cleaning process.
