The mobile workstation is a thick-bodied device concept developed around the internal hardware layout. The enclosure can accommodate an application-specific arrangement of a display, processor or embedded computer, electronic boards and connection interfaces. Handheld use, mass distribution, service access and thermal management are reviewed with the selected hardware.
Display and connections
The display, operator interface, data inputs/outputs and any communication modules are selected for the application requirements.
Power and thermal management
Power supply, battery requirements and cooling are reviewed against hardware consumption and the operating environment.
Verification and delivery scope
Mechanical design, electronic integration, software and verification responsibilities are defined in the quotation and project specification.
