The inline variation develops the guarded hose-test concept as part of a handling line. Transfer surfaces and machine interfaces support a discussion about loading, testing and releasing specimens within an agreed production sequence. Automation and traceability requirements follow the specific product and acceptance procedure.
Define how specimens arrive, connect, remain supported and leave the station.
Agree the test circuit, conditions, pass/fail criteria and required records.
Scope machine-to-machine signals, control responsibilities, guarding and exception handling.
Materials, dimensions, operating range, output, controls and delivery scope are confirmed in the project proposal.

An inline hose test station adds handling and machine interfaces to an application-specific test. QDM’s concept places a guarded test area between transfer surfaces. Leak-testing instruments can perform an agreed measurement, but the complete station must also position the specimen, connect it and release it without losing the identity of the result.
Define how the hose arrives and whether fittings are already assembled. Manual connection, automatic clamping and dedicated carriers have different implications for the operating cycle. Specify the upstream and downstream signals, a failed-part route and what happens if the next station is unavailable. Traceability fields should be listed explicitly rather than assumed from the presence of a screen.
A useful acceptance plan covers loading, connection, testing and release as one sequence. Include known pass and fail conditions or agreed reference checks, plus interruption and recovery. Test pressure, medium and containment require an application-specific design basis. QDM coordinates the mechanical transfer, station layout and specialist controls within the agreed production integration scope.
The table identifies the reference arrangement and the values to agree for your application.
| Parameter | Configuration / value | Confirm before manufacture |
|---|---|---|
| Specimen presentation | Defined carrier or handling arrangement | Provide incoming hose format |
| Test procedure | Application-specific | Agree medium, pressure and limits |
| Connection method | Manual or automated as scoped | Review fittings and access |
| Cycle objective | Defined in seconds | Include connection, stabilisation and release |
| Result identity | Fields and records as agreed | Define specimen tracking needs |
| Reject handling | Project-specific route | Agree failed-test response |
| Machine interfaces | Signals and transfer boundaries | Define stop and recovery behaviour |
These products are customizable. Configuration values and images are indicative and may change with the application. Final dimensions, components, controls and performance requirements are confirmed in the agreed project specification.

QDM supplies equipment with a standard one-year machine warranty, starting from commissioning.
Purchased components are covered under the relevant manufacturer’s warranty terms. Two-year component coverage applies where provided by the manufacturer; coverage and start dates follow those terms.
Extended warranty and maintenance agreements can be arranged for the project. Coverage, duration, service responsibilities and commercial terms are agreed in the contract.
The quotation and contract define the equipment covered, the applicable warranty terms and the agreed service arrangements.
Include the hose, required test, infeed and outfeed format, cycle objective and upstream/downstream interfaces.
