Identify wetted components
List every wetted item, including tank, pump, valves, tubing, seals and nozzle. Assess disassembly and cleaning-in-place options against the actual equipment design.
Viscous products & residue
Corners, connections and drainage points matter during residue checks. Visual cleanliness alone may not satisfy the process; agree an appropriate verification method.
Cleaning-agent compatibility
Assess cleaning chemistry, concentration, temperature and contact time with the product-path materials. A material suitable for the product may not tolerate every cleaning agent.
Separate format changes
Product cleaning and bottle, cap or label format changes are different tasks. Describe operator steps for guides, carriers and saved settings.
CIP & verification
Cleaning in place requires an appropriate flow path and a defined procedure. An automatic rinse option alone does not establish validated cleaning or sterilisation for every product.
