1 · Define the product
Specify minimum and maximum dimensions, unit weight, base shape and sensitive surfaces. Empty/filled condition matters for bottles; carrier and fixture requirements matter for components.
2 · Measure the layout
Usable conveying width is different from overall machine width. Specify conveyor length, inlet/outlet height, side access and existing machine interfaces separately.
3 · Separate speed from throughput
Belt speed may be specified in m/min and production demand in units/min. Their relationship depends on centre-to-centre product pitch, lane count and operation. A calculated conveying speed is not a line-output guarantee.
4 · Share load & environment
Unit weight and total simultaneous conveyor load are different. Include stopping, accumulation, cleaning, temperature and contact conditions in the brief.
